Interior design for living and working

The interior is not just a backdrop to our lives, but an active space that shapes us every day. Today, projects are emerging in Prague that are taking the concept of living, working and public space to a whole new level. Architects and designers are creating interiors that combine aesthetics, functionality, and mental well-being—from minimalist city apartments and creative coworking spaces to luxury hotels and restaurants.

Behind the apparent simplicity of these interiors often lies a sophisticated spatial solution, an emphasis on light, high-quality materials, and an ability to work with the character of the place. Instead of trends, the emphasis is on long-term value, sustainability, and individuality. Studios such as Formafatal, Studio Perspektiv, No Architects, and ORA bring strong artistic statements and are not afraid to think about how space can influence mood, productivity, and interpersonal relationships.

In this section, we present a selection of interior design studios that breathe a distinctive style into Prague’s interiors — and prove that design can be not only beautiful, but also meaningful.

1. Atelier Kunc Architects – home as a living space

Atelier Kunc Architects is not just about creating beautiful interiors, but about precisely tailoring them to the lifestyle of the residents. The “Garden Villa near Prague” project perfectly demonstrates how the architects work with glass walls and natural materials to allow the interior to communicate naturally with the garden. The interior of this house does not hide anything, but tells the story of its inhabitants – about their love of nature, natural light, and a peaceful atmosphere. The studio, led by Michal Kunc, prides itself on long-term value, combining aesthetics and practical details so that the space can grow and evolve with the family.

2.Formafatal – creative interiors with soul and quality

Formafatal, led by Dagmar Štěpánová, transforms ordinary houses and apartments into unique spaces full of creativity. The studio combines soft lines, high-quality materials — such as silk wallpaper and stone floors — and detailed lighting to make interiors feel lively, fresh, and elegant. Their projects, which have been recognized by Wallpaper magazine, combine design with functional zones: kitchens that flow seamlessly into living areas, bedrooms designed to promote relaxation, and workspaces that are sensitively integrated into the space. Formafatal transforms houses into a colorful symphony in which every element has its place.

3.Studio Perspektiv – functional elegance for work and life

Studio Perspektiv creates interiors that combine aesthetics with practicality. In their EOH IT Hub office project, they paid attention to workplace ergonomics, acoustics, and natural light, thereby supporting the creative and collective performance of the team. Every detail, from the height of the desks to the wall materials, has been carefully considered. The offices have become inspiring spaces that encourage discussion and concentration. Studio Perspektiv is able to design spaces where aesthetics and function work together, as confirmed by awards such as the German Design Award 2020.

4. ORGI Architekti – clean lines, calm atmosphere

Studio ORGI Architekti bases its designs on the principle of “less is more.” Their interiors are spacious, elegant, and cozy at the same time, thanks to a well-thought-out color palette, subtle lighting, and natural materials such as oak wood and softened concrete. The designs are characterized by intelligent layouts – the kitchen flows into the living area without unnecessary embellishments, the bedrooms promote restful sleep, and the work areas also function as relaxation zones. ORGI creates contrasts – simplicity and warmth – in perfect harmony.
