Night rhythms: jazz & blues in Prague
Prague is a city with a rich musical tradition – and its nightlife reflects this in every chord. Jazz and blues lovers will find places with an unmistakable atmosphere, where music is not just background noise but the very heart of the venue. From small basement clubs with intimate lighting to elegant venues with regular programs, the offer is diverse and lively. Whether you like improvised jam sessions or sophisticated concerts with world-renowned artists, Prague’s jazz and blues clubs will immerse you in sounds that resonate long after midnight.
1.Jazz Dock – a jazz port under the stars of the Vltava
Jazz Dock is located right on the banks of the Vltava River in the romantic setting of Malá Strana, offering a unique musical experience with a view of the river. The club has won an award for best bar (Czech Bar Awards) and its program features Czech legends (such as František Uhlíř) as well as foreign stars and modern jazz projects.
The interior combines a futuristic bar with cozy lounges and an outdoor terrace, where concerts and summer events called “Jazz On The Roof” are held throughout the year. The club offers 4K acoustics and live evenings until the early hours of the morning.

Today, it offers swing, Dixieland, mainstream and modern jazz, blues and funk, complemented by black light and pantomime. The club is located next to the National Theater and playfully combines history with live music.

The Ungelt Jazz & Blues Club, hidden in the Ungelt passage in the Old Town, offers intimate musical encounters every evening. The club, part of the Ungelt Gallery, offers the atmosphere of an ancient cellar with live music: jazz, blues, and acoustic performances.
The interior with stone walls, soft lighting, and historical details provides a comfortable setting for smaller audiences. Concerts take place almost regularly, and the space often hosts dark jazz accompaniment to cult films.
